WHO WE ARE
Growing Faith Ministries first opened its doors in 2019 and since then, God has been using us to be a blessing to not only the people who come through our doors, but to the community around us as well. As a church, our goal is to live out our name and be constantly looking for ways to grow in our faith and encourage each other along the way.

The Bible makes it clear that the church is not just a building, but is made up of people! As believers, we are grafted into the living, breathing, vine which is Jesus Christ (John 15:1). As such, it is expected that we will be growing not only in our faith, but also in unity with one another. In a world that is ripe with division, our hope is to bring believers together and encourage each other in worship through biblically based preaching, music, testimonies, communion, and fellowship. We are not associated with a denomination and welcome all to worship with us.

To learn more about us, feel free to look over our core values below.

CORE VALUES
Our goal as a church is to imitate what the early church was doing in Acts 2:42-47. In those verses we see five distinct attributes that made the early church both effective and pleasing to God. Below you will see how we live out each of these attributes as a church.

ROOTED IN THE WORD
We believe that all scripture is divinely inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and our desire as a church body is to be rooted in God's word in everything we do (Colossians 2:7). We believe that the Bible is both descriptive (it reveals God's redemptive plan throughout history) and prescriptive (it contains truth that pertains to how we should live our lives). We believe that the Bible is God-breathed, and given to us so that we can learn to live in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. The answers to life's hardest questions are found in it's pages and it is the source of all truth. As believers, we are instructed in James 1:22 to not only hear the word of God, but to live by it as well. This is our goal as a church as well.

WORSHIP

The Psalms are filled with the command to worship the Lord. However it is more than just a command, worship should be a way of life. We believe that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3) and that amazing things can happen when we worship. Several times a year we host Nights of Worship where we seek to bring unity to the body of Christ by worshipping alongside our brothers and sisters from different churches in the area. See our EVENTS PAGE for more information!

PRAYER
The Bible has much to say about the importance of prayer and it is something we take seriously! Jesus declared that His house shall be a house of prayer (Matthew 21:13); the early church was birthed through prayer (Acts 1:14) and established prayer as a cornerstone (Acts 2:42) and was rejuvenated by prayer (Acts 4:31). Prayer holds and binds everything together (Philippians 4:6) and is the way that believers communicate with God our Heavenly Father (Matthew 6:9). And we can be rest assured that God actually hears our prayers as well (1 John 5:14). If you or someone you love is in need of prayer, please do not hesitate to let us know HERE.

FELLOWSHIP
This is an important aspect often neglected in the body of Christ that involves the breaking of bread (eating together). On the first and third Saturdays of the month we intentionally share a meal together and spend time with one another in order share about the good that God is doing in our lives. Our aim is to grow closer to each other and support one another in whatever season of life we may find ourselves in (Galatians 6:2).

GENEROSITY
Jesus made it clear that believers are supposed to care for the poor and downcast in the world and this core value stems from this commandment (Matthew 25:31-40). We currently support several ministries in Lincoln County including the Bread for Life Food Pantry, Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Center, Shielded by Faith, the Troy Dream Center, as well as Operation Christmas Child, in addition to several individuals who are serving abroad as missionaries.
