WHO WE ARE
"And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ." - Ephesians 4:11-13
At Growing Faith Ministries we believe in the fivefold ministry laid out by Paul in Ephesians 4:11. We also seek to live out our name and be constantly looking for ways to grow in our faith. As believers, we are grafted into the living, breathing, vine which is Jesus Christ (John 15:1). As such, it is expected that we will be growing not only in our faith, but also in unity with one another. In a world that is ripe with division, our hope is to bring believers together and encourage each other in worship through music, testimony, communion, biblically based preaching, and fellowship. We are not associated with a denomination and welcome all to worship with us.
CORE VALUES
Fellowship: Two fellows in a ship (Acts 2:42, 47) Fellowship requires devotion, and personal sacrifice
- It involved the breaking of bread, eating together. We gather for a meal. twice a month to spend time with one another and share in the good that God is doing in our lives. We aim to connect people with similar needs so they can move forward.
Missions: Our second core value stems from the desire to help our community and beyond (James 1:27)- We have plugged into existing ministries such as the Bread for Life Food Pantry, Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Center, Shielded by Faith, School Supplies for children, Operation Christmas Child, as well as Christmas family adoptions. We also help individuals and we look for opportunities to serve in our community, both as a church, and individually.
Preach the Word: Our third core value is to preach, not just from the pulpit, but through everything we do (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 1:28). We believe that this is important for all ages, so we offer Children’s Church, Women's Ministry, Men’s Fellowship and Adult Bible studies.
Worship: The Psalms are filled with the command to worship the Lord. However it is more than just a command, worship is a lifestyle. Living now for the day we Tabernacle with God the Father and Jesus His Son
- Read Psalm 95:1-3, 6-7
- We aim to be a place where we can host praise and worship events, concerts, etc
- We host Nights of Worship once a quarter so check out our "Events" page for more details.
Prayer: Jesus declared that His house shall be a house of prayer (Matthew 21:13). The early church was birthed through prayer (Acts 1:14), established prayer as a cornerstone (Acts 2:42) and was rejuvenated by prayer (Acts 4:31). Prayer holds and binds it all together (Philippians 4:6).
